Ok, so I fail miserably at this whole blogging thing, but there can only be improvement, right? The good news is I haven't been failing at Weight Watchers this time around.. I'm down 32 pounds so far. Still have at least another 68 to go, possibly more. I'll decide the total number as I get closer to goal.
Not too much has gone on around here, I work a bit more than I did when I started, and I think that's been messing with my routine. I'm getting back on track though and hope to lose this week.
I also picked up Weight Watchers newest gadget, the Active Link. It's a little USB thing that you clip to your shirt, or belt, ect. You can even wear it as a necklace. I tend to wear mine on a tank or my bra, works best for me this way. You wear it during all your waking hours and it keeps track of ALL your activity. After the first 8 days, you get a goal. It's a goal to earn so many activity points a day, and it varies by person and their activity level. One of the main reasons I got this is because I'm always curious on how active I really am at work. I stock freight overnight. That means pulling pallets, and rocket carts, heavy lifting and lots of walking. Also what I affectionately call my "step/squats" which for the last hour of my shift I zone (or face, depending on the term your used to) the shelves in the grocery section at Walmart. I need a step stool to reach the top of the shelves, so every 4 feet, I step on the stool, step back down, get down to a squat, then step back onto the stool.. I only stay in each 4 foot section for a couple minutes, so it's a lot of stepping and squatting..
So back on track. I just finished my assessment and had added no extra exercise this week, and in 4 days I earned 37 PPV!!!! That's more than what I can eat in a day, and I can choose to eat these points or not, I'll probably use them as back up, but I won't aim to eat them all.
The real question is, why am I not skinny already? My chart shows me as a super active person (although I won't lie, my days off, I barely reach minimal activity, which I need to work on). They say I average 4-6 PP a day and in 12 weeks my goal will be 8 PP per day. The main thing I need to do is work on my days off, get those up to the 8PP, which will be a very long process I think. Today I'll start off by walking to pick my son up from school, if it doesn't rain, so lets hope the rain holds off for at least 2 more hours.
Linky link to the Active link incase anyone is curious about it.

Ooops.. Just haven't had much time lately, but good news! One month of Weight Watchers down and I'm down 13 pounds! I hit my 5% goal this month and still have at least 90 pounds to lose. It's going to be a long time, but I think I'm finally ready to just keep plugging away at this. Big boy turned 7 yesterday and had a blast at Chuck E Cheese. He got to go in the ticket blaster and ended up getting over 1200 tickets in there! It was amazing! He celebrated with friends and family and got his awesome cake (a ghost busters theme made by my best friend).
Back to topic though, In the last month, I've made quite a few changes in my eating habits, I'm pretty much eating nothing but fruits and veggies at work.. Eating no more than 6 points there, leaving the bulk of my points for home, where I'm cooking and just over tired, so I like to snack. I find low point snacks, and again lots of fruits and veggies. I want to say that even though they say at least 5 servings, most days I'm up to 8 or 9 or even more. I've found some awesome recipes that the boys even like and am learning to adapt some of our favorites to healthier versions.
I'm trying to up my activity as well, and one of these days I need to ask my leader how I should count my work. I spend 7 1/2 hours on my feet 5 of them lifting, moving, stacking, stocking, stretching, bending, ect.. I mean, hello, I stock the grocery aisles in Walmart.. Some of that stuff is super heavy! Think of 24 count cases of canned veggies, and me having to put them on shelves, still in the trays... It's not one can at a time.. The last hour and a half is what I like to call "step/squats".. I have a step stool, step up, zone a shelf, step off, zone a couple shelves, squat, zone the last of the shelves, repeat... For an hour and a half.. All the time, pushing a cart along with me for empty cardboard and drops (items that don't belong where I'm at)... This work makes it difficult for me to add in any activity at home.. I'm just too tired, and napping sounds much too tempting. During my weekends though, I do manage to get more activity in and usually enough to get in the 14 points they recommend. I just wonder if I'm earning more than that through my work.
But I must go and clean now (a never ending battle for a mom of two crazy boys!)

Bye Bye Flu, and Easter Egg Hunt
First off, I'm feeling Sooo much better and have my appetite back (not sure yet if that's a good thing though).. But I figure as long as I track and stay within my WW points, I'll be just fine and not regain any of the "flu pounds" back, however many of them they were.
Today we had our annual egg hunt with some very good family friends. They have 3 kids, the two oldest boys are the same age as my two boys and then their daughter, who's 2 1/2. This is our Third year that we've done an egg hunt at our house (the first year started as a make up for a super failed attempt at going to a public one) and we chose to do brunch instead of a BIG breakfast (My friend is also back on WW, so we both like to do things that are light on points and pennies). I found an awesome quiche that is only 3 points for an eighth of a 9" pie! So much better than double digit points. Then a favorite muffin mix of mine that is only 3 points for two mini muffins.. Plenty of fruits and of course some not so great for you stuff (I avoided and let the kids go house on that stuff) but all in all, much better than the two pound bacon with eggs and breads and anything else that will clog our arteries days... I'm sure we'll still do big breakfasts once in a while, but I'm hoping these brunch's come more often.
But since it's back to work for me tonight, and I still tire kind of easily, I'm off to bed for a super long nap before work pops up on me. Here's hoping for a nice boring night.

Flu... And weight loss
Drum roll, please..... 9.8 pounds lost this week! As ecstatic as I am about this loss, I'm still more upset about this silly flu that I received. I've been pretty much dead to the world since I got out of work Wednesday night. I'm just now starting to feel a tiny bit normal.
Anyways, last weeks work towards weight loss led me to try new recipes and different habits. For example, usually about once a week my hubby and I need to do what I fondly call the kid swap. I have to go straight from my job to his job in about a half an hour. I barely make it each time and am usually munching on something not so good for me along the way. Well last week, I made a change. I choose an apple. Yup, instead of a fatty crunchy snack, I chose a crunchy healthy snack! I also had more active moments during the week, well that is until this flu hit me.
So, since I'm still not feeling a hundred percent here, I'll leave it at this and just be super happy with this 9.8 pounds gone. Hopeing for another good week this week.

Weight Watchers, help me please!
I'm the fattest I've ever been in my life, including when I was 9 months pregnant. This fact makes me want to cry daily. Instead, it's making me focus, I CAN do this! I CAN get healthy. If not for me, for my two precious awesome boys. They don't need a fat mom, they need a healthy mom, one who plays WITH them, not watches them play. One who's not afraid to go on a bounce house, or a swing. One who can take them hiking (a hobby I loved as a child, myself). Just a mom who is there, not in the background.
So here starts my journey. I've been on Weight Watchers on and off for the last 12 years or so, this WILL be my last time. My weight this time starts at 247 pounds. Yup, I just posted what my weight is. I'm 31 years old, and want to turn myself to 31 years young. And at 247 pounds (yup, there it is again) it won't happen.
My weigh ins are on Thursdays, so every week, I'll post my loss (or gain, but hopefully no gain) Also, there Will be pics, just not yet. I'm not ready for the world to see me as I am (it's bad enough people see me everyday) But when the weight starts to come off, I'll need to show the progress..
